Champions Trophies

LEGENDS IN FRANKFURT.

From November 15th till November 18th 2007, The “klarmobil.de Champions Trophy” was held at the Ballsporthalle Frankfurt for the sixth time. Legendary players such as five times Wimbledon Champion Bjoern Borg, German Wimbledon Champion Michael Stich, Goran Ivanisevic, Thomas Muster and Pat Cash impressed their fans with top class and entertaining matches.

The sponsors of “klarmobil.de” Champions Trophy” held various campaigns such as sweepstakes and autograph sessions with the legends and were able to give away spots in ProAms and Kids Camps with the tennis legends. A part of the proceeds went to the “Deutsche Sporthilfe”. That way sponsors and visitors supported young and experienced athletes in their pursuits for excellence.

The “KIA Champions Trophy” has been held at the Ballsporthalle Frankfurt in November 2006 for the fifth time. Legendary players such as the “Entfant Terrible of Tennis” John McEnroe, German Wimbledon Champion Michael Stich, Goran Ivanisevic, Thomas Muster and Pat Cash impressed their fans with entertaining and thrilling matches.  Part of the tournament was the support of charity organizations by players, visitors and sponsors. Cooperatively, they supported the efforts of the Franz Beckenbauer foundation for children in need.

From August 18th till the 21st 2005 the “LTU Champions Trophy presented by Volvo” has been held at the Sportime Tennis Club in Amagansett, Hamptons, Long Island for the first time. The team of the Apple Entertainment Group  created the tournament, acquired the sponsors and was responsible for all planning activities. Legendary players such as three times Wimbledon Champion John McEnroe, Wimbledon Champion Goran Ivanisevic, “Australian force of nature” Pat Cash, Grand Slam Champion Guillermo Vilas and Swedish Anders Jarryd impressed their fans with entertaining and stunning matches.  The sponsors of “LTU Champions Trophy presented by Volvo” held various campaigns such as sweepstakes and autograph sessions with the legends and were able to give away spots in ProAms and Kids Camps with the tennis legends. Together with good friend Michael J. Fox, the tennis legends supported the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research during the tournament. Founded in the year 2000, the Michael J. Fox Foundation supports Parkison research facilities and hopes to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The top class players, the breathtaking scenery of the Hamptons and mostly the commitment of the sponsors made the tournament an absolute highlight on the Champions Tour 2005.
