Whitney Houston was one of the most successful artists of her generation: seven studio albums, over 190 million records sold, over 200 silver, gold and diamond awards, countless number one hits and six Grammys speak for themselves. The American musician was one of the very few artists to have a number one album in the international charts for three consecutive decades. She also entered the Guinness Book of Records for having seven consecutive number one singles. In the early 1990’s Whitney Houston started a successful acting career – the three motion pictures she was part of brought in millions of US dollars. Having received over 400 awards, she was considered the most awarded female artist of all time according to the Guinness Book of Records. Her voice inspired many singers of other generations – various artists like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera say that Whitney Houston had a great stylistic influence on them.
Working with Whitney for three European tours as well as the outstanding Soul Divas Tour, co-starring the late Natalie Cole and the iconic Dionne Warwick, has been an experience of a lifetime. Getting to know the personality behind the star was wonderful, and Whitney as well as Bobbi Kris will always be in our hearts.
